Baran Doğan (Istanbul, 1990)

Baran Doğan is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans photography, sculpture, painting, visual manipulation, furniture design and interior design.

He left his associate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in his final year, choosing to follow his passion and turn toward photography. In 2012, he founded his own studio and began experimenting within the field of visual arts. This direction evolved into a path that led him to the Photography Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2016. Over the years, the awards he has received in both science and art reflect the distinctive balance in his work between structural thinking and intuitive sensitivity.

Doğan’s artistic approach focuses on the space between what is visible and the layered realities beneath it. His attention gravitates toward the silent signals of perception, emotions and impressions embedded in the subconscious. These subtle layers shape the tone of reality, even when they’re not explicitly expressed. Through form and light, he aims to give these internal territories a tangible presence.

Working across disciplines, he pursues forms, spaces and images that reveal the depth and precision of perception.

Black & white is one of his primary visual languages. He treats light almost as a sculptural material, shaping atmosphere, line and emotion with deliberate clarity and consistently navigates existential dualities.
These tensions form the intellectual and emotional ground of his practice.

Alongside his personal work, Doğan has produced campaigns for numerous global and local brands. Through creative direction in advertising, fashion photography and visual identity projects, he brings his aesthetic vision into the world of brands. He has collaborated with leading fashion magazines and designers, creating refined and original visual narratives across editorial and commercial platforms.
